Description

For sale - from my personal collection - the following LP of jazz music featuring PHIL WOODS / GENE QUILL QUINTET, titled:

"PHIL AND QUILL FOR PRESTIGE"

original 1957 pressing on Prestige Records LP 7115, MONO, made in USA. Deep groove platter. "Prestige Records, Inc. 447 West 50th Street, New York 19, N.Y." printed on back cover and label. Plain paper inner sleeve.

RVG hand engraved on dead wax.

Matrix numbers hand engraved on dead wax: PRLP 7115-A (on side one) / PRLP 7115-B (on side two).

CONDITION:

- front cover is between Exc. to NM (having: some light overall shelf wear over the laminated folio; both right corners a little touched-pushed)

- back cover is VG+ (having some yellowing spots and overall wear showing the time; all lettering legible)

- vinyl is between Exc. to NM side one (having: some scattered scuffs and one very light short surface mark) and between Exc. to NM side two (having: some scattered scuffs and one light superficial surface mark) (visual grading)

SPECIAL REMARKS:

- sticker affixed on front cover (near the upper left corner)

- handwritten price entered near the upper right corner back (in pencil)

Featuring Phil Woods and Gene Quill (both alto saxes) with George Syran (piano), Teddy Kotick (bass) and Nick Stabulas (drums). Special unique jazz quintet from the history.

6 tracks, studio recordings. A masterpiece jazz album and a rare collectible LP. Highly recommended!
