Artist: Urbano A. Zafra
Tracks: Danza Filipina / Mazurka Filipina

Filipino folk music is extremely tough to find, and this is a very strong example - featured on the Excavated Shellac blog (if you'd like more information) and recorded in November of 1929.

Two instrumental solos - one steel guitar solo ("guitarra de acero") with guitar accompaniment by Mauro Baradi. Flip side is a bandurria solo by Zafra, also accompanied by Baradi on guitar.

These are beautiful, humble, almost halting and unrehearsed recordings it seems. Really lovely.


Condition: VV+ (general play wear, with scuffing and tics, few tiny ECs not near grooves, plays quite enjoyably)
