Description:

Released on the 2nd of October 1970. This is the 1st variant of the first presses which do not have the boxed EMI logo on the labels. This is Pink Floyds fifth studio album.


Key Features:

  • Matrix numbers: -1G -1G: Side 1: SHVL 781 A-1G; Side 2: SHVL 781 B-1G (-1G matrix endings on all sides) 
  • Labels: VARIANT 1 labels with publishing credited to 'World Copyrights' for side A, and tracks B1, 2 & 4, and Lupus Music for track B3 (later variants use World Copyrights/Lupus Music). 
  • Stampers: 1/2 RR, 2 AG
  • Inner: Original EMI/Harvest poly-lined company advertising inner sleeve.

Visual Grade: NEAR MINT!

The record shows superb deep-gloss playing surfaces with no marks. A fantastic example that looks barely played. 

Audio Grade: NEAR MINT!

Completely quiet intros without crackle, loud pops, or repeat clicks. Obviously there are no skips or sticks with this top grade. Superb!


Sleeve: NEAR MINT!

No ring wear front or back, nice and clean, with no discolouration. Fully readable unworn spine, sharp edges and corners. Superb! 


Inners: EXCELLENT!

Original Harvest company inner sleeve is included and is in Excellent condition.
