Up for auction is this absolutely gorgeous classic album as a very first issue with the PVC outer sleeve and the original photo printed inner sleeve. All later issues miss these two components which are mega rare and probably only about 1000 were issued. As to how many would have survived after nearly half a century, that's anyone's guess ...

Their fantastic and very rare  debut album (with Twink on the drums!!). Original UK copy, comes with the whole package:  Original outer PVC-sleeve + cardboard gatefold inner + poly-lined printed inner sleeve. Musically I don't need to explain this gem, I guess..... Rare!

Sleeve: EX.  As said this comes with the wraparound cardboard sleeve which has a couple of light creases. The edges are splendid without any damage. Then there is the all-important PVC printed outer sleeve. This is an artefact really as it is the second I have ever seen in 30 years of collecting and I have been at many many fairs. It is near perfect with just a tiny seam split of 2 cm on the bottom opening. The inner sleeve, again an elusive item is polylined and has a printed band photo. The catalogue number + Pink Fairies written in ballpoint near the top. On the reverse it is blue printed "Plastic bags can be dangerous" and the date stamp "0571". Light creases.

Vinyl: EX+.  A lovely vinyl with only light sleeve retraction wispy traces only visible under a very bright light.  Looks barely played!! Some light bag rash which is barely visible. One hairline on side A. I have played this through all the way and I am glad to report that the audio is stunning throughout. On the spindle hole there is still some vinyl debris remaining suggesting absolutely minimal play. Great prog and the seeds for change had already been planted here!!  This just stood out over all the rest! Without doubt the best vinyl for this album I have ever seen. Of course, NO skips, NO jumps, NO ticks.

LABELS: NM. 

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next heavy prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in supreme condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
