You are viewing: 1973 Original UK 1st press LP on Harvest Records. Includes Gatefold sleeve, original black inner sleeve, 2xoriginal posters. Dark Side Of The Moon Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London between June 1972 and January 1973.  This is the 1st pressing, original form of the release. The label has a solid blue prism. Subsequent pressings have a blue glowing inner edge prism with the centre black.  Centre labels: ‘The Gramophone Co.’ text is centred on label above prism.  Matrix numbers: SHVL 504 A-2  and SHVL 504 B-2 matrix stamped in deadwax of run out groove.  Thick heavyweight vinyl believed by some to be the ‘finest’ and most true encapsulation of this historical recording, as the first pressing was pressed direct from the original master plate. 
Gatefold sleeve with first opening edge fixed closed, 'Dark Side of the Moon" sticker in inside of gatefold-see pictures above.
Inner sleeve is a distinctive polythene lined die cut black semi matt paper with white printed text stating 2 patent numbers bottom left [112555/1072844] and ‘MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN’ bottom right.
Includes 2 posters, used, in very good condition with small pin holes in corners.

CONDITION: Vinyl: VG (Disc mostly plays EX, side 2 is VG+ with a few very light marks, side 1 unfortunately has some unsightly, feelable scuff marks  across most of the side, which look bad but dont actually affect play very often they do cause some pops and clicks/crackle during the beginning quiet part of track A3 and A4 - i have included a link to a full recording of the disc so you can hear how well it plays)

Cover: VG (between VG and VG+ with corner wear, a few marks on the surface and a couple of line indentations on back cover, spine has a very small nick halfway  down)

GRADING:

I will try and add details but the grades i use are:

MINT - i will only use MINT for sealed records  

NM - barely played - immaculate

EX - played but in top condition

VG+ - nice condition playing with no audible problems, maybe a few superficial marks, but plays through with no audible deterioration, perhaps some minimal surface noises/odd light pop

VG - some marks light scratches, might play with some background noise, and/or clicks but no jumps

G+ - very marked, lots of noise / scratches
