Description
Yes, this their first ever single with the (almost) irreplaceable Syd Barrett before he very sadly went down the rabbit hole never to return the same.
So, the good news is that this example is round and also flat when looking edge on. It shows 39g on my scale. Matrices are 7XCA 27877-1 and 7XCA 27878-1 respectively for the two sides.
The label on side A is decent but side B has stickers' residue which the camera has markedly pronounced.
Less good news is that although the camera shows clean playing surfaces, the record shows multiple marks under my searching and evil table light. I can't playtest 45's so I have to rate it visually which I reckon is circa 3.5 - 4 /10 (normally I wouldn't list such a record but I guess this is of musically historical importance and hence is of interest to collectors and aficionados alike).
Yet the disc may play reasonably ok, I don't know (some vinyls can be remarkably forgiving).
As such I'm starting the auction at 99p so the market can decide what it's worth. Certainly I believe it's more than a wall hanger.
And should the winning bidder be dissatisfied with my objective judgements above then no problem to return of course.
Finally, it comes with the original Columbia sleeve.
