Pink Floyd – A Saucerful Of SecretsPink Floyd evolved from an earlier rock band, formed in 1965, which was at different times called Sigma 6, The Meggadeaths, The Architectural Abdabs, The Screaming Abdabs, and The Abdabs. When the band split up, guitarists Rado ‘Bob’ Klose and Roger Waters, drummer Nick Mason, and wind instrument player Rick Wright formed a new band called Tea Set. After a brief spell with a lead vocalist named Chris Dennis guitarist and vocalist Syd Barrett joined the band and it was Barrett that came up with the name Pink Floyd (after two blues musicians, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council).
This is a very nice original copy of Pink Floyd’s second album. The vinyl looks very clean and, apart from a bit of light crackle and a couple of pops near the start of side two, plays great. It may even benefit from a professional clean! See description below.

Side Two: A Saucerful Of Secrets; See-Saw; Jugband Blues.
The album is on Columbia Records, SCX 6258. Matrix side one: YAX 3633 - 1 (stamped). Matrix side two: YAX 3634 - 1 (stamped).
Relesed in 1968. UK pressing. Stereo.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (a few very light superficial marks can only be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: very good (a few very light superficial marks that can only be seen under bright light but does have a bit of light crackle and a couple of pops near the start of the side but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, that apart plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (front laminated, flip-back): very good (has a few light laminate creases mainly around the edges, two bits of writing on back, small surface tear near middle, bottom flip-back has a bit of fraying).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
