Description
A Saucerful of Secrets 3/3 (early stereo pressing)
This early stereo release has the black Columbia label with two EMI logos on the labels. The audio is of a very high quality. This cover has no flipbacks on the reverse and Gilmour is printed as Gilmore on both the labels and the cover. The third song on S2 is numbered incorrectly as "4".

Visual grading
This vinyl is visually stunning. It only has a few very faint paper lines from where it has been removed from the sleeve. There are no scratches at all and it still has that lovely glossy sheen. I cannot detect any spindle wear on S1 and there is only a little on S2.
Play grading
'Let There Be More Light' has no lead in static and plays extremely well with only a handful of dust ticks and one louder click towards the end. There is no crackle. 'Remember a Day' starts with a little static but then plays with very clear audio and only one click. The intro to 'Set The Controls...' is stunning and has no interference. This is audio of high end quality and this is definitely one of the best versions of this classic track I have heard. 'Corporal Clegg' as is always the case plays with a little distortion, this is due to the grooves being pressed closer together so as to 'fit' onto the side. However, it still plays very well with no other interference.
The title track 'Saucerful...' on Side Two begins with faint static at the beginning but it is no worse than that. It is in no intrusive and still sounds superb. Having played the whole track I am just blown away by the quality. There is barely any static throughout, the quality is sublime. On such an early pressing it would be difficult to find better. I only heard two faint clicks during the whole track. 'See-Saw' and 'Jugband Blues' both have superb audio again with great clarity and almost no interference. This LP plays with overall stunning quality and would not disappoint any fan.
Cover
The G & L cover is in excellent condition with only a little wear. The top and bottom edge have no wear, it is only the spine that has a little rubbing. The two bottom corners have a little wear also but is only minor. The back cover is very clean with just a few small creases around the edges. The opening edge is very clean and looks hardly handled. As per the very early presses it has 'Gilmore' on the tracklisting.
Labels
They are in great condition with only a little amount of spindle wear on S2. Around the label is printed "EMI Records, Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Unauthorised public performance, broadcasting, and copying of this record prohibited. Made in GT Britain".
Inner sleeve
The original die-cut inner sleeve is included and is in excellent condition with no tears and only age related marking and light creasing. It has the patent no 1,125,555 and Made in Great Britain on it.
