Over the next few weeks and months I will be listing a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums.
These will all be at least decent playing copies, but mostly will be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed (so long as they are readable!) so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. All gradings are by visual examination and by play-grading,  strictly to record collector guidelines.
So here we have some of Floyds earliest work from 1968. The very first mono pressing with 1G and 1G matrices. "A saucerful of secrets". The 1G and 1G matrices put this in the first 400 copies ever pressed.


The cover grades good plus to very good minus  (G+ to VG-). Has laminate creasing to the front and a disc impression forming. Also has wear to opening edge. The rear "flip-back" is in really good clean shape. Just a little minor creasing.
The company advert style inner sleeve is excellent, almost like new. Please note, the vinyl is now stored in a new anti-static inner sleeve.
The vinyl surfaces visually are really good. Side one really has nothing worthy of note. Side 2 has a light, non-feelable mark (shown in the photos). Visually I would grade side one as a strong very good plus (VG+), side two as very good (VG).
The sound quality has been fully play-graded, strictly to record collector guidelines. Side one starts well, nice and quiet. There is light surface noise in between tracks 1-2 and 2-3. Track three has some light clicks and dust pops. This does make things sound quite poor, when in fact it plays mostly very very well, with strong audio and detail. A powerful mono pressing. Side two starts with some light background noise. There is a repeat soft tick for around 45 seconds into the track. Track 1 is a very long track. About half way through there are some more soft ticks and dust pops. Aside from this, the side plays very well. As an overall play-grading, I feel this still merits a strong very good (VG). How much better it could sound with a proper cleaning is interesting.
It is extremely rare to find a genuine 1G / 1G first pressing of this album in mono. Although the sound quality is not exceptional, it is still a fantastic listen and will only grow in value.
In the sale I have included a couple of extra items. Firstly, a double album entitled Pink Floyd Live 1969. This is still sealed in the manufacturers shrink-wrap. Song titles can be seen in the photos. Finally, a brand new and unused cork backed coaster, depiction the album cover artwork from A saucerful of secrets.


All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send next day delivery postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me, sometimes less!

I accept returns if I am notified as soon as possible after you receive the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
I will post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Postage within the EU is around £17. Worldwide postage is around £26. If these prices differ once I have packed and weighed them, I will refund the difference immediately.
