Release Date: October 10, 1970 Release Information: First stereo issue only has "The Gramophone Co., Ltd." on the label, no small EMI logo on the label, and the drip at the end of Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast continuing into the runoff groove of the record (on a manual turntable, the drip will continue endlessly until the needle is lifted off the record).. Inside Cover: In the lower left corner, it says "7010 TPS Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd Patent no 943,895 SHVL 781." Inner Sleeve: Issued with a Harvest Records inner sleeve. Labels: Yellow / green Harvest labels with no EMI logo. Text around the top edge of the label starts at 10 o'clock and says: The Gramophone Co., Ltd. All rights of the manufacturer and of the owner of the recorded work reserved. Text around the bottom edge of the label starts at 8 o'clock and says: Made in GT Britain. SLEEVE: VERY GOOD+, SOME RING, SHELF AND EDGE WEAR, CORNER BUMPS, SPINE NICKS, A FEW SMALL SPOTS. PEN NAME ON INNER GATEFOLD UNDER CREDITS - SEE PHOTO. INNER SLEEVE IS VERY GOOD BUY POLY-LINED INNER PART MISSING.

DISC: VISUALLY VERY GOOD+ THAT PLAYS BETWEEN VERY GOOD+ AND EXCELLENT MINUS. ONE LIGHT SCRATCH ON 'SUMMER 68' WHICH CLICKED A FEW TIMES. ONLY MINOR SPINDLE WEAR. THERE ARE SOME LIGHT HAIRLINES AND LIGHT SCUFFS, AND A FEW AREAS OF SPOTTING WHICH APPEARS TO BE IN THE VINYL. WE HAVE PLAYED BOTH SIDES AND CAN REPORT THAT THIS THICK, HEAVY EMI PRESSINGS GIVES GOOD AUDIO, BUT, AS SEEMS USUAL FOR EVERY FIRST PRESSING WE HAVE HEARD OF THIS TITLE, THERE ARE SOME SURFACE NOISES IN QUIETER PASSAGES. THESE OFTEN CLEAN OUT AFTER INTENSIVE CLEANING, BUT WE'VE NEVER HEARD A COMPLETELY SILENT FIRST PRESSING OF ATOM HEART AND DOUBT WE EVER WILL. OVERALL, A VERY DECENT BUT NOT PERFECT COPY. CLEAN LABELS BOTH SIDES. NO SKIPS OR JUMPS, SOME CRACKLING IN PLACES.
