Over the next couple of days I will be listing part of a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums. These will not include recent re-releases, dodgy quality recordings, or anything even remotely like. These will all be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed (so long as they are readable!) so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. All gradings are visual and by listening, strictly to record collector guidelines.
So here we have one of Floyds earliest titles. "ATOM HEART MOTHER". UK 1st pressing. No boxed EMI logo on the labels and on the track "Alans psychedelic breakfast", the drip at the end continues into the run-off grooves. A genuine really early first UK pressing. SIDE I MATRIX  A1-G   MOTHER 1/2   STAMPER GG (11th). SIDE 2 MATRIX  B1-G   MOTHER  2     STAMPER  O  (5th).

• Iconic artwork sleeve. Some light shelf-wear to bottom edge. These covers always seem to get really dirty and marked so easily, but this one is still nice and clean. Couple of bumped corners and minor handling wear, but overall a lovely example. Graded as very good plus (VG+).

• Vinyl is in great shape. No marks worthy of note. Very well cared for example. 155 grams in weight, a true heavyweight slab of vinyl. A really early pressing and of course the quality of the heavy vinyl and its early mother/stamper combination ensures that this is a really great sounding example of this much underrated album. Graded as visually excellent (Ex).

• The inner sleeve is the original that displays other albums of the era. Has slight creasing and light age related discolouring. Over its lifetime it has lost the polythene lining to the inner sleeve, but it is still a very nice example and graded as very good (VG).

PLAY GRADING:-                              Firstly, I have just spent a most enjoyable couple of hours play grading the 3 Floyd albums I am listing this evening. At the end of all 3 listenings I wrote the same word in my notebook. "WOW". I have played too many copies of "Atom" to remember, but I seriously cannot recall a copy that plays so quietly and with the clarity and detail of this example. There are so many quiet acoustic, vocal and brass sections on this. I am going to print pretty much word for word straight from my notebook. Side 1. 3 clicks right at the start before the brass section kicks in. The silence in the quiet sections is noteworthy. 3 random and isolated soft "ticks" during first half of side, 4 soft clicks near the end of the side. Side 2. Nothing worthy of mention. The silence between tracks and in quieter section is quite remarkable. Seriously I have no hesitation grading the sound quality as excellent (Ex) for side 1 and excellent plus (Ex+) for side 2.
So all in all a really lovely copy and would grace absolutely any collection in my view.
All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me!
I accept returns if I am notified immediately upon you receiving the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
I will post overseas if you contact me first, due to issues in the past and ebays new postage rules it is in both our interests to do so. Failing to contact me first may mean I cancel your bid. I use ebays Global Shipping programme to post overseas. It seems expensive, but I have no control over its cost, but it does include all taxes, duties etc that are levied by your country.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I POST TO RUSSIA OR ANY OF ITS ALLIES FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.
