PINK FLOYD – THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
A very attractive 3rd issue UK 1973 Harvest pressing of one of the defining albums of the vinyl era, carrying the sought-after A-3/B-3 matrices and housed in the desirable dark midnight-blue gatefold sleeve.
Importantly, this copy retains both large original posters, together with one original pyramid sticker. Original UK packages contained two posters and two stickers, so this is missing just the second sticker.

The A3/B3 configuration is a Third UK issue pressing rather than the solid-blue-triangle A2/B2 first issue, making it a very appealing way to own a genuinely early British copy without moving into four-figure first-press territory. Third stereo issues have a very dark blue cover, a blue outline prism on the label, and "EMI Records Ltd." text on the label starting at 10 o'clock. Gramophone Co. CONDITION
Vinyl Visual: VG+
The vinyl retains a strong overall appearance with normal light signs of careful use. Side 2 Track 1 has one noticeable larger hairline/non-feelable surface line. This is clearly visible under inspection but cannot be felt.
Vinyl Playback: Strong VG+
Fully play tested. The Side 2 Track 1 line has only minimal impact on the audio. There is a very minor audible effect, but it remains firmly in the background and does not compromise the enjoyment of the music. Across the album the record delivers strong, engaging VG+ playback.
Sleeve: VG+
The desirable dark midnight-blue gatefold shows genuine age-related surface, edge and corner wear, as clearly shown in the photographs. Despite the cosmetic wear it remains structurally very sound, with strong colour and a pleasing overall presentation.
Posters: VG+ to EX
Both original large posters are present. They remain colourful and highly displayable, with some expected storage/fold wear. Both have pin holes to the corners, indicating that they were once displayed.
Sticker: VG+
One original pyramid-design sticker is included.
COLLECTORS NOTES
The A3/B3 pressing sits immediately within the early UK history of The Dark Side Of The Moon and retains the classic EMI/Harvest prism labels, early dark sleeve and period inserts. Documented A3/B3 UK examples were supplied with two large posters and two stickers.
This example is particularly attractive as a complete-looking collector package, retaining both important posters and one of the original stickers.
The vinyl is not visually perfect and has been graded accordingly, but its strong VG+ playback is the real strength of the copy. The visible Side 2 line has remarkably little sonic consequence, leaving the album thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end.
A very nice, honest early UK copy of an essential Pink Floyd album.
