My listening equipment is a highly revealing Roksan Xerxes/Artemiz/Shiraz turntable, pre/power amplification and Castle speakers.
Played on my system, this LP grades Excellent with just a touch of very minor background noise between tracks and to occasional quiet parts. This LP has fabulous, crystal clear audio quality that you only get with a first pressing. Matrix numbers are 1st press SHVL 804 A2/B2 (it was never issued with an A1/B1 matrix). The final photo shows the gatefold cover contrasted with a later issue cover underneath. As you can see, the cover is a kind of dark blue rather than a jet black. Some people stipulate that the original cover also had a sealed left side - this one does not. However, I sold another first pressing about two years ago which also had an identical midnight blue cover, again without the seal. So, as far as I am concerned, a 1st press cover DOES NOT have to have a sealed left side. The cover itself is in very good condition, with just a few light marks (see photo) and some minor rubbing to the edges. The posters and stickers are in excellent condition and have never been mounted.
This is a fantastic example of a 1st press DSOTM.
