For sale here is a lovely UK second pressing of Pink Floyds iconic 1973 album "Dark side of the moon".

This is an incredibly early second pressing, having the matrix numbers A3 / B2. Following very quickly on the heels of the solid blue prism labels of the A2 / B2. This also has the blue tinted cover, markedly different from later black covers. The labels have "The Gramophone Co Ltd" text This album comes complete with both colour posters and the 2 postcard size stickers.

Below I will give a brief description of the condition of each part, vinyl, cover, inner sleeve and all inserts.

Please note that I do not have a turntable to make an audio grading of the album, but have a lot of experience of vinyl and have a good idea of how to grade by visual assessment. In the event of a vinyl being not as described, I do accept returns for a full refund.

COVER:-

               Correct blue tinted cover. Very light shelf wear and light rubbing to front and impression of the disc starting to form on the rear. To be fair, I am being very picky here. This is still a very nice example of the rare blue tinted cover. Safely graded as very good plus (VG+).

INNER SLEEVE:-

                   Generic inner sleeve is in great condition, although lightly discoloured with age. No rips, slits or tears. The vinyl will come stored in an anti static inner sleeve. Graded as Ex.

VINYL:-

         The vinyl is in lovely condition. A deep black sheen. Matrix numbers are A3 / B2. Mothers  are both 1. Stampers for side 1 are RGP, for side 2 are PR. A really early copy.  Some light hairline sleeve removal marks when viewed at an angle in strong light. The only thing of any real note with the vinyl is a small mark (please see last photo). This is 100% my own fault . I was looking at the vinyl at an angle to see the mother and stamper marks when I lost grip of the edges of the disc and caught the vinyl with my finger nail. I was gutted to say the least! However, it was just my finger nail. There is no depth to the mark. It is purely cosmetic in appearance. However, I will make this statement.... If the mark causes an issue of any sort, no matter how trivial, I will give a full refund and also pay the cost of return postage, so you can bid in the knowledge that you are totally insured if there is an issue. I cannot say fairer than that.

POSTERS / STICKERS:-

                           Both posters and stickers are present. They are printed on a heavy matt paper. Totally different to later glossy paper. They are both in very good condition with a little wear on the crease fold lines. The stickers are both in excellent shape.

So that is everything. A very early UK 2nd pressing. The complete package with all original inserts. Only graded visually.

I will be listing some cracking Floyd albums over the coming days, including an amazing 1st pressing of "Animals", probably the best I have ever come across. Also a copy of "More", green tinted west facing couple. Matrices 1G / 1G. Mothers and stampers also 1G / 1G. The very earliest copy pressed and in superb condition too.

I do not profit on postage. I charge what it costs me (often less!). I try to use recycled packaging and I remove vinyl from sleeve for transit. All vinyl will be supplied in a new anti-static sleeve, and each cover in a new heavyweight polythene cover.

I am very experienced in grading and posting vinyl. If anything is not as described I accept returns, no questions asked.
