FOR SALE IS THE 1973 PINK FLOYD LP "DARK SIDE OF THE MOON". DO NOT PURCHASE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING AND REVIEWED THE GRADING DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOS. SMAS 11163 PLAY TESTED AND I RATE THE VINYL IN THE VG+ TO EX. RANGE. THERE ARE NO SKIPS. I'VE PLAY TESTED THE  LP AND SOME OF THE SONGS RATE EX. BACKGROUND NOISE IS NEGLIGIBLE ON THE LOUDER SONGS.  (SHADOWS ON THE VINYL ARE THE REFLECTIONS OF THE  OAK TREES IN THE BACK YARD.) OUTSIDE COVER JACKET  IN VG+. CONDITION. INSIDE COVER JACKET  EX. COMES WITH ORIGINAL WHITE SLEEVE, WITH A SEAM SPLIT. ( I WILL BE SENDING A NEW GENERIC WHITE SLEEVE) I'VE DONE THE BEST I COULD TO DESCRIBE THE LP.  I DO COMBINE SHIPPING, CHECK OUT SOME OF THE OTHERS I HAVE LISTED.
 I use Goldmine® visual grading and always try to grade conservatively.   
M (mint) Record~ is new, shiny, never played. Sealed M  (Mint) Jacket~ is new no marks, almost always sealed.
 NM (near mint) Record~ is like new, probably played a few times, may have one or two light marks but it doesn't effects on the quality of a sound.  NM (near mint  Jacket~ is like new, may have a light corner bump, maybe one or two small creases. One or two light flaws. 
EX (excellent) Record~ in great shape, may have light marks, played more than a few times but low in surface noise or no surface noise. 
EX (excellent) Jacket~ in great shape, has very little edge, spine and corner wear, a light corner bump, maybe some light creasing or ring wear. Maybe a sticker or two. 
VG+ (very good plus) Record~ has been played more times, it has light marks and surface noise but doesn't overwhelm the music. It is well taken care of and it doesn't skip. 
VG+ (very good plus) Jacket~ may have more spine and edge wear, More ring wear, one or more stickers, light writing, a punch hole saw or corner cut. Light corner bends could have more creasing as well. No splits. 
VG (very good) Record~ has been played many times, may have more surface noise, but it shouldn't skip while playing. 
VG (very good) Jacket~ has noticeably more spine and edge wear, some splits, more ring wear, tape, corner bends and creases, writing, punch holes and saw cuts could be in this category.
 G (good) Record~ is in bad condition, this is worth only for archive items - just to have that until you find better. G (good) Jacket~ Very bad shape, only using until a better one is found.

The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 1 March 1973 by Harvest Records. It built on ideas explored in Pink Floyd's earlier recordings and performances, but without the extended instrumentals that characterised their earlier work. Its themes explore conflict, greed, time, and mental illness, the latter partly inspired by the deteriorating health of founding member Syd Barrett, who left in 1968.

Developed during live performances, Pink Floyd premiered an early version of The Dark Side of the Moon several months before recording began. New material was recorded in two sessions in 1972 and 1973 at Abbey Road Studios in London. The group used advanced recording techniques at the time, including multitrack recording and tape loops; analogue synthesizers are prominent, and snippets from interviews with Pink Floyd's road crew and others provide philosophical quotations. Engineer Alan Parsons was responsible for many sonic aspects and the recruitment of singer Clare Torry, who appears on one track. The iconic sleeve was designed by Storm Thorgerson; following keyboardist Richard Wright's request for a "simple and bold" design, it depicts a prism spectrum, representing the band's lighting and the record's themes.

The Dark Side of the Moon produced two singles: "Money" and "Us and Them". The album topped the Billboard chart for a week, and remained on the chart for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988. Following a change in how Billboard counts sales in 2009, it re-entered the chart and has since appeared for over 900 weeks. With estimated sales of over 45 million, it is Pink Floyd's bestselling album and one of the bestselling worldwide. It has been remastered and rereleased several times, and covered in its entirety by several acts. It is often regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time.
