THIS COPY HAS BEEN WELL PLAYED OVER THE YEARS (please see detailed audio assessment below) BUT IT STILL PROVIDES AN IMMENSELY ENJOYABLE LISTEN AND IN MY OPINION ANY AUDIBLE FAULTS (clicks and pops but no scratches, sticks or jumps) ARE MORE THAN COMPENSATED FOR BY THE SHEER QUALITY OF THE SOUND OF THIS FIRST PRESSING - BEAUTIFULLY DEEP, RICH, WARM AND DETAILED

MOTHERS/STAMPERS: 3/TR and 1/HO
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE MATT GATEFOLD SLEEVE "Printed and made by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd.”, DATE CODED '7303' (1973, March) WHICH IS VERY DARK BLUE IN COLOUR AND HAS THE FACTORY SEALED LEFT SIDE EDGE WITH A FOLDED UNDER SEAL (only the earliest sleeves had this feature and these are pretty hard to find)
AND THE SET COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL BLACK POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE WITH PATENT NUMBERS AND "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" TEXT PRINTED IN GREY/SILVER
AND FOUR POSTERS (TWO OF EACH) BUT ONLY ONE STICKER

LABELS: Clean and unmarked with no unwanted writing but they do display numerous spindle marks - VERY GOOD+
VINYL Visual: Both surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen but they do display a few scuffs (no scratches) - none of these are deep or feel-able to the touch - VERY GOOD+
VINYL Audio: This copy has received a lot of play over the years but there is no deterioration to the actual sound quality and no discernible groove-wear (play-graded at a very loud volume). There are numerous light clicks/pops only really noticeable on the quieter sections (like the heartbeat beginning) but none of these are continuous and only a few rise above background level. During the louder sections the playback is pretty much uninterrupted and the sound is really sensational. There are no prolonged scratches, no skips or jumps and very little surface noise present so I would critically grade the audio as VERY GOOD+ (listening to it now for the third time today and it sounds great - fantastic sound quality and even with it's faults it's a copy I could personally quite happily live with)
SLEEVE: The soft backed matt gatefold cover is also VERY GOOD+ with rubbing to the edges and corners but it is good and solid with no structural damage (no splits) and little of the common ring wear. The sealed left side edge has the early characteristic folded-under section
POSTERS: There are four posters in this copy (two of each the band and pyramid). All are clean, fresh and unmounted except for one of the pyramid posters which has tiny drawing pin holes to the corners. One of the pyramid posters also has a printing flaw (top left, clear in the photo) - EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT
STICKER: Only one original sticker is present but its in untouched condition - NEAR MINT
INNER SLEEVE: The original black, poly-lined inner is clean and unmarked with a light 'nick' to one side which has resulted in a small (3cm) split - VERY GOOD+
