PINK FLOYD - THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
1973 UK 3rd pressing complete with original posters and unused stickers, and wonderful stereo sound quality throughout
Year/Label : 1973 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 804 Matrix numbers : SHVL 804 A-3, SHVL 804 B-3 Stampers : 2 2 MRP / 1 GLMWith over 50 years of record collecting under my belt and a collection of Pink Floyd vinyl which until recently included 15(!) copies of the A3/B2, A3/B3 UK 2nd/3rd pressings of this wonderful album I feel that I'm well qualified to state that it is the A3/B3 pressing that gives the best audio quality : difficult to explain why...just a little crisper, less background noise, a little bit more depth...it's just better than the previous A2/B2, A3/B2 pressings! And this particular copy is up there with the best, in terms of both condition and sound quality...
Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - flat and retaining a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen, coming across as unmarked in normal daylight and it is only with very close scrutiny under a bright light and with the vinyl tilted to the correct angle that it is possible to detect a few extremely fine paper scuff hairlinesand a couple of equally faint small hairlines on each side - obviously nothing feelable and all purely superficial and not impacting upon the terrific stereo sound quality. The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition - just a couple of small and extremely faint spindle trails next to the centre hole on the side 2 label, and the side 1 label is as clean as a whistle with not even a single small faint spindle trail in sight! Clearly this is a record that has been only sparingly played and well looked after. Again, excellent plus (EX+) condition Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold outer sleeve - firm edges with no scuffing at all, a rigid spine again with no scuffs or "nicks", perfectly defined right angled corners with no rubbing, firm opening edges with no fraying, no creasing, no unwanted writing, and all colours, art work and text remaining in great condition with perfect definition still. The front side circular "PINK FLOYD THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON" sticker remains in perfect condition. The only blemishes (too strong a word) are x5 very, very light surface crinkles emanating from the spine on the front side, a further x3 surface crinkles on the reverse side, and a tiny "nick" in the middle of the reverse side bottom edge - otherwise the condition of this gatefold really is hard to fault and remains eminently presentable. Both light matt posters (not super glossy and super smooth as per later pressings) remain in excellent condition with no tears, blue tac residue, obvious creasing or pin holes. The two stickers (both "CRACKBACK"/"FASPRINT") are unused and remain in "as new" condition. Superb, excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion, repetitive rotational clicks or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction with terrificl sound quality throughout. You may come across the very, very occasional, random and very background light click but such occurrences are very rare and caused either by static or the odd speck of dust caught in the grooves through years of upright storage - no more than you would expect from a brand new record. Comes with plain black die-cut inner sleeve - not the original Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. A brilliant condition copy of this 1973 UK early press Pink Floyd classic with wonderful stereo sound quality throughout and becoming increasingly hard to find in this condition.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
