For sale here is Pink Floyds most iconic album from 1973, "The dark side of the moon". This is the first UK pressing with A2 / B2 matrices and solid blue triangle labels. Complete with the very earliest pair of stickers with "PERMANENT" printed in red type on the reverse side, and the earliest posters, both printed on a heavy thick totally matte paper, unlike later copies that had semi-matte or glossy paper.
Also included in the sale are some lovely extras! A double album of the live recording of the bands Wembley concert in 1974. This is a limited edition pressed on grey "splash" vinyl, and hand numbered 90 of only 500 pressed. In pristine condition. I am also including a quite superb hardback book entitled "50 years on the dark side". This is a real quality production including many photos and a mass of written text chronicling  the bands history from conception to more modern times. Within this book are 4 DVD's (see photos) with tons of archive footage and interviews. This is a stunning book in every way. Then there is a sticker of the solid blue label logo, a coaster and gel pen with DSOTM artwork, both new and mint.
THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON:-

The cover is extremely solid and virtually unmarked. This is the original midnight blue colour, as opposed to later jet black ones. There is the absolute minimum shelf-wear to any edges, with just a small rub area on the bottom corners. In certain angled light you can make out a couple of indentations to the front, where somebody has leant on it to draw a line. Pretty hard to fault for its age. Grades excellent.
The inner sleeve is the original poly-lined black paper one. Has the correct text in grey. No damage of any kind except for a small crease here and there. A really nice example and easily still grades as excellent.
The labels show some spindle trails to both sides, however, this has been very carefully played over the years as the play-grading will prove. Aside from the spindle trails, the labels are very clean.
The vinyl visually really is incredibly clean. There are no marks worth noting. This is a gleaming piece of vinyl. Happy to make a visual grading of excellent at least on this one.
Both posters (on heavy totally matte paper) are superb. Just some light age discolouration to the rear. Both grade excellent.
Both stickers are present. These are the earliest with "Permanent" in red type on the rear and wavy perforation lines. The lighter coloured one has a small crease in the bottom left corner. The darker one has a diagonal crease on its left edge. Both are in excellent shape, they have just got caught in the gatefold cover at some point.
Fully play-graded as below.
Referring to my play-grading notebook, I made the following comments. Super quiet start to side one and that all important "heartbeat" intro. Plays faultlessly until track 3 where there are 5 soft "ticks" during the track from the left channel. The rest of the side played with NO issues. My one word summing up of side 1 was "brilliant" Side two plays with no issues whatsoever, and I just added Wow!  Overall this vinyl easily gets at least an excellent grading from me.
The double live album, also entitled "The dark side of the moon", is in fantastic condition. The outer plastic cover (which houses the sticker shown in the photos) is a little worn, protecting the sturdy cover. This outer bag has splits, but has been retained due to its originality and sticker. The cover itself is near perfect. The generic paper inners are fine and the 2 discs are now housed in new anti-static poly-lined sleeves. The 2 discs are pressed into grey vinyl and are quite stunning, and look totally brand new without marks. A hand drawn limited edition number is written on the rear of the cover, number 90 of 500 only copies pressed. Solid excellent.
The cork backed coaster is mint, unused.
The solid blue label sticker is mint, unused.
The gel pen with artwork is mint, unused.
The superb hardback book is near perfect, as are the 4 DVD's attached. There is no damage part from a tiny bump to the top right corner. This truly is a sensational piece to treasure.
I am sure the winner will be more than well pleased with this package, but I do offer a full return and refund policy if not delighted. This an absolute corker of a copy, and I find it hard to believe there are many better sounding first press copies still knocking around.
