For sale here is the bands iconic 1994 release "The division bell". Hard to find now on vinyl. This is the genuine 1st UK press with A2 / B2 matrices. Also included in the sale is an artwork postcard and coaster. Both brand new and mint. These can be viewed in the photos. In the 1990's, CD's had really taken over and vinyl was a dying medium. This album was released in quite small numbers on vinyl and the recording quality was often a bit "iffy" shall we say! Happily, although this is not the perfect pressing, it still plays with great clarity and detail albeit with a little non-intrusive surface noise which can be heard in the quieter sections. Never overpowering, but being honest, it is there.
The cover has light storage wear and all the wear is clearly shown in the photographs. There is also a small nick on the top edge of the front cover. With these wear point, I can only grade the cover as very good. The printed lyric sheet inner sleeve is in great shape. A small slit is just starting to form in the centre of the bottom edge. Grades very good plus. Visually, the vinyl grades a very solid excellent. No marks worthy of note. The fact that the album plays with some light surface noise is, I believe, due to a pressing plant issue. There are simply no marks that would point to being the issue. This also makes me believe that a good clean could go some way to bringing this back to its best. Playback grades as a strong very good, possibly higher.
The 2 heads coaster is a great little item. Brand new and unused. The 2 heads postcard sized artwork is stunning. Brand new and mint.
