Description
Over the next few weeks and months I will be listing a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums. Please check out my other listings. Add me as a favourite seller or keep checking back to see my new listings.
These will all be at least decent playing copies, but mostly will be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed (so long as they are readable!) so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. Gradings are visual & play-graded, strictly to record collector guidelines.
So here we have one of Floyds earliest titles. The soundtrack from the film "MORE". I am selling 2 copies of this together in one lot. The first is a UK first pressing, single boxed Columbia labels with correct label rim text and cover with the couple looking left/West. The second copy is a UK second pressing. Again with single boxed Columbia labels, differing rim text to the first and cover with the couple looking right/East. Also included in the sale is a brand new cork backed coaster depicting the album cover.
These are the details for the first pressing:-
- Laminated cover is in really good shape. Very clean rear with couple looking west and a green tint. Front laminated surface has light creasing which these covers are quite prone to. All round nice example. Graded as very good plus (VG+).
- Vinyl is in great visual shape. No marks worthy of note. Very well cared for example. Mother/stampers are 1 / GR and 1 / GL. Graded as visually excellent.
- Inner sleeve is solid but non genuine I believe.
These are the details for the second pressing:-
- Laminated cover is, again, a nice solid example. Some light laminate creasing and a bit of ring-wear starting to form. Couple looking East on a grey coloured rear. A solid grade of very good plus (VG+).
- Vinyl is also in excellent condition visually. No worrying marks. This does have a slight rise and fall in one section, but plays through fine with no sticks or skips. Mother/stampers are 1 / GR and 1 / GM. Graded as visually excellent (EX).
- Inner sleeve is solid but non-original I think.
PLAY-GRADINGS:-
Both vinyls are really clean as noted above. The small warp on UK 2nd pressing has no bearing on play. That is to say that it does not cause a skip or stick. As the surfaces are so clean, I would be fairly sure that both could sound much better with a decent clean. They have been sat unplayed for several years and no doubt have collected some deep lying dust etc. Both discs play with some light surface noise here and there, audible only in quiet sections or segues between tracks. The disc with the slight warp has a rustling sound during the warped section, not over the whole album. The detail and clarity is there in bucket loads on both discs. Just the background noise I mentioned. The 2nd pressing plays slightly better than the 1st pressing. Both records are not perfect, but still play well. Sound quality grades very good.
All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me!
I accept returns if I am notified immediately upon you receiving the album. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the album, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
I will post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Postage within the EU is around £16. Worldwide postage is around £25. If these prices differ once I have packed and weighed them, I will refund the difference immediately.
A nice couple of vintage vinyls that are still very playable and enjoyable. If you are just looking for some better covers than your current ones, you could do a lot worse!
