Description

For sale is a rare early repress UK Mono Issue of Pink Floyd’s debut album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.

Only difference from very first issue is the ‘File under Popular’ at top right of the back of the cover. Issued very soon after, as shown by the mother/stampers of 1GG/1GO. It is actually possible this is a first press record in a second press sleeve, as the details and credits for track 1 side 2 are all in one line - see Discogs for comparison photos - which indicate a first press record.  

Sleeve in VG+ condition - close to excellent. All edges intact and spine fully readable. No writing or marks on cover. No splits or tears.

Original advertising picture inner also VG +.

Record itself has some scuffs and minor hairlines but no feelable marks. Labels very clean. First side plays very well with only some light crackles in quiet passages. Second side also plays just as well apart from final track, which has a stick early on, hence I have graded at VG.

Apart from this issue it would be close to excellent.
