Description

This A1/B2 first pressing of The Final Cut is in stunning condition.  There are no scratches or hairlines and visually this LP is perfect, a bold statement but it looks that good!  I suspect that it has been barely played such is the audio quality of this vinyl.  If you want a final upgrade copy then this is one to own.
'The Post War Dream' has minimal static for the first minute but then plays as near to perfect as possible.  The remainder has the same quality, the audio is stunning.  The odd sound of static but the audio is outstanding especially when you consider how quiet the majority of this side is.  'One of the few' and 'The Gunners Dream' are great examples of this and play as near to Mint as you will find.
Again there is minor lead in static at the start of Side Two.  From thereon the audio plays with a depth and clarity that is sublime.  I heard one faint click during 'Southampton Dock' no more.  Again perhaps the odd static sound but the audio is incredible and I honestly do not think you could improve upon it even if it was re-pressed today!  I cannot stress how good the audio is and as per Side One the clarity of the audio during the quieter sections is fabulous. 
The gatefold cover is also in excellent condition with only a couple of imperfections.  There is very minor shelf wear on the corners and one small 'nick' at the top of the gatefold on the inside.  Other than that it has very clean edges and a strong wide spine - a couple of minor spots on the spine above the title.  This is definitely one of the cleanest gatefolds you will find of this first press.
The vinyl is housed within the original polylined black inner with the die-cut corners. 
Without doubt this is one of the best first presses of this under-rated LP that I have heard and it is amazing to think it is now over 30 years old.  I grade with honesty and this A1/B2 first press is probably very nearly equal to the best I have ever sold.that has ever been sold.

I would grade the vinyl as Mint-
The gatefold cover is Ex+
The original inner sleeve is Near Mint- (no splits)
The labels are Mint
