Description

PINK FLOYD - WISH YOU WERE HERE

1975 UK original with truly impressive stereo sound quality throughout

Year/Label : 1975 UK HARVEST Label number : SHVL 814 Matrix numbers : SHVL 814 A-1, SHVL 814 B-5 (with "HTM" etched into side 2 run-off) Stampers :  4 MDM  / 3 GP0
Excellent (EX) condition vinyl - retaining a beautiful jet black lacquered sheen and coming across as unmarked in normal daylight and it is only with close scrutiny under a bright light that a few very wispy hairlines and extremely fine paper scuff lines come into view on both sides - nothing feelable and all appearing to be purely superficial, although on side 2 there are a further 4 tiny, light and unfeelable scuff marks (you will need to tilt the vinyl to the right angle in the right light and look very closely in order to identify them) which may account for a few (3 or 4) very light random clicks on this side, but nothing to impinge upon the overall truly excellent stereo sound quality.  The labels are in excellent plus (EX+) condition also - just a couple of small and barely discernible faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label, otherwise perfect.  Clearly this is a record that has been only sparingly played and well looked after.  A solid excellent (EX) condition Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold outer sleeve - firm edges devoid of any scuffing, a rigid and unmarked spine with all spine text perfectly intact, perfectly defined right angled corners with barely any rubbing, firm opening edges with no fraying, and all colours, art work and text remaining in great condition with perfect definition still. There are just a few non-obvious very light handling/storage marks towards the edges but nothing of any real significance.  The all-important 1st press inner cardboard sleeve is in similarly excellent (EX) condition, complete with die-cuts on 3 of the 4 corners and a 9 inch thumb notch on the top edge. The only blemish of any significance is an 8cm split in the middle of the bottom edge.  Note : there is no postcard with this copy.  Superb, excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction with brilliant sound quality throughout. On side 2 you might come across a few (3 or 4) very light background clicks though I could find no obvious reason for these - nothing to impinge upon an undoubted great listen.  Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    A truly excellent condition copy of this 1975 UK original Pink Floyd classic, becoming increasingly hard to find in this condition.
POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £3.38 using Royal Mail tracked 48 (ebay "Simple Delivery");

for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 55 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
