NOTE ON FIRST PRESSING ISSUES WITH WYWH:
In my experience this LP, along with The Wall and The Final Cut is probably one of the most problematic Pink Floyd LPs with regards to the pressing and subsequent audio quality
I have found that even mint looking copies of this LP can play with lots of excessive clicking, surface noise and even distortion (with the first solo guitar break on "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" being especially problematic in this regard)
Many, many copies of this album have passed through my hands over the years so I understand how difficult it is to find a decent copy which will play with the minimum of issues, especially on higher-end systems.
I am therefore pleased to report that this one is a really EXCELLENT playing example - not completely perfect, but the finest I have heard in a long while
*THERE WAS A REISSUE SOMETIME IN THE LATE '70s (or early '80s) AGAIN WITH THE BLACK SHRINK-WRAP BUT THESE COPIES HAVE A MUCH HIGHER MATRIX NUMBER - A9 OR ABOVE, THE INNER SLEEVE HAS ROUNDED CORNERS AND THE COVER DOES NOT HAVE THE CHARACTERISTIC FIRST ISSUE 'PINCHED' SPINE

LABELS: MINT-
Clean and unmarked with no spindle traces at all that I can see
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT
There are a few superficial light marks on the vinyl surfaces (not too many) otherwise - clean, bright and fresh
VINYL Audio: EXCELLENT
Beautifully produced and engineered and covering an enormous dynamic range the record plays with all frequencies bright and clear and no groove-wear or distortion.
As already mentioned this can be a very problematic LP regarding sound performance and even though this copy has some occasional touches of surface on the quieter moments (very minor and non-intrusive) it plays extremely well with no scratches and only 5 pops (which rise above background level) noted on the quiet beginning of "Wish You Were Here" on Side Two otherwise, this ranks and one of the finest (and impressively cleanest) playing copies I have heard in a while
SLEEVE: NEAR MINT/ SHRINK WRAP: EXCELLENT
The cover still retains the original black shrink wrapping with the WYWH sticker.
This wrapping is very delicate, easily damaged and normally removed - but this one is in excellent condition and apart from the withdrawal at the opening edge the wrap covers the rest of the sleeve (with just two tiny holes on the front and breaks on the corners). It's never been taken off the cover and it fits tight and snug - the pinched spine edges are clearly evident beneath the wrap
INNER SLEEVE: MINT-
The original first issue inner with square cut corners and 9" opening thumb notch is clean and white with no marks, none of the common foxing spots and no seam splits
POSTCARD: MINT
The original serrated edge postcard is glossy, clean and unmarked with no bends or creases
ALL RECORDS ARE PACKAGED WITH THE VINYL OUTSIDE OF THE SLEEVE TO PREVENT ANY 'KNIFING' DURING TRANSIT
