This is a very rare 1973 first press with the SOLID BLUE PRISM and with A2/B2 matrix endings..earliest possible,first press dark blue cover and original inner which has the blue text on the bottom..all in superb condition!!
Cover
The original DARK BLUE in colour Garrod & lofthouse gatefold cover which only opens at one side as the other is factory sealed (with flap over seal) is in Excellent-.There is no writing etc.Here is a description of all parts of this cover
Front: The front is nice with a little wear and some creases,the corners have been rubbed
Back: same as front..has some light wear and edge creases and rubbing on corner tips.In the top right corner it states SHVL 804 (IE 064 o05249)stereo
Inside Gatefold : very nice with a little wear
Seams: These as usual with this type of cover are rubbed but no splits
Spine:This is nice..no splits or bad wear
2 Posters/stickers
These are in Excellent condition,no pin holes,tape or other wear
Original inner sleeve
The original poly lined black die cut inner sleeve which has the "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" and "PATENT nos" text in blue at the bottom is in Excellent++ condition with no splits or tears
Labels
The original harvest labels which have "The gramophone" rim text and "made in gt britain" text at the bottom are in Excellent condition with some light spindles and a vert tiny bit of wear on the side 1 label..minimal
Record
The record which is made out of thick quality wax is unwarped and in Excellent condition with full gloss and shine as in normal light it looks a lot lot better..just a few hairlines..but there are no deep fingernail scratches
The audio playback is a joy to hear,i have listen to a lot of these and a lot play with loud crackle,but this one plays really well,there are some light static in places..NOT LOUD CRACKLE that would stop you enjoying the music and a few light clicks but nothing that overshadows the music..no sound distortion!!! and it does not stick or jump.ALTOGETHER A REALLY NICE COPY!!!
