This copy is from the 1st release in August, 1990 -  on 4AD Records with Elektra distributing it in the US.

This is their 3rd studio album. This is a bit more "rock" than their 2 previous, Doolittle and Surfer Rosa, with one critic saying "Bossanova is the composite Pixie's LP".
