Description
Parlophone PMC 7027 First press with 4th proof sleeve
XEX 637-1 XEX 638-1
The Beatles: Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
This is of particular interest to the collector because not only is it the first press but it also has the "Fourth Proof" sleeve . i.e this sleeve was awaiting confirmation as to its suitability but some found their way into the shops. It's interesting that on the back "Patents pending" is written.
The sleeve shows wear but no real damage. The spine is rubbed.
The record has several scratches and for this reason it has been played to gauge the damage. Both sides played well and the only problem was sticking on "A Day in the Life" during the McCartney solo.
Postage prices are quoted for single items. It is possible to put records together to save money. For UK bidders 3 records can be sent for the same price as one.
European bidders, in particular can get a very attractive savings on parcels over 2 kg. For example, 7 box sets (30 records) weighing 9 kg were recently sent to Spain for £18. Please email for a quote.
Gradings are visual unless otherwise stated. We cannot clean the records to a professional standard and so we leave that to the buyer-sorry.
