PRETTY THINGS - S.F.SORROW. COLUMBIA GERMAN STEREO 1968 PSYCHADELIC ROCK OPERA MASTERPIECE.
I'VE PLAYED THIS WONDERFUL ALBUM AND THE SOUND IS STILL BRIGHT NO DISTORTION, THERE ARE COUPLE OF CRACKLES BUT NOTHING TO DETRACT THE OVERAL SOUND,THIS IS A GREAT LISTERN!
The vinyl is bright, looking vg but plays excellent, the cover also VG.
I would add the Pretties started work on this Rock Opera in Nov 67, Produced by Norman Hurrican Smith, the concept is the life of one Sebastian F Sorrow from birth through love, war, tradegy, madness and the disillusionment of old age. The album was finally released in the UK in December 1968, which unfortunately coincided with the release of The White Album, Beggars Banquet, and The Kinks, Village Green. Thus did'nt sell due to EMI's lack of promotion, a truly overlooked Gem! at the time, now reviered as a Psych Classic which inspired a host of other concept albums.
