Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. SCARCE 1970 first press on the forever obscure AVCO EMBASSY, a company more known for their films, they also dabbled in rock music LP releases and along with label mates LIQUID SMOKE, Disciple featured a near full album of infectious self composed material plus a spirited BEATLES cover ...
This is the product of the East Coast Underground act, the quintet DISCIPLE and their ONLY album. Always been rare, it is a neglected pop-psych treasure that grows with each spin of the disc!
Before this New York band was called "Disciple", they were playing small clubs as "The Outer Limits". It's unknown if they had any recorded output. Along came female Sandy Crespo, a stunning beauty with a strong set of pipes. All five could sing and they were known for their choir like vocals. When they renamed as "Disciple", they got notice. One album was put together and released through Avco/Embassy Records (a label more attuned to TV and the Movies). But, this record label put out some great psychedelic gems (Bead Game, Weight and Liquid Smoke to name a few). The "Disciple" album is a wonderful underrated popsike extravaganza. Known for three and four part harmonies with Sandy at the forefront, slight special effects, fuzz guitar and a garage edge in the same category as "Growing Concern" and "Art Of Lovin". But, the god-awful drawing of the band pictured on the cover soured the public before they had a listen. The album fell off the earth and the band shortly followed. Collectors should be falling over themselves to find this one, it's getting to be as rare as hens teeth and comes highly recommended.
Released in 1970, "Come and See Us As We Are!" is hard to accurately describe. Propelled by Sandy Crespo's attractive voice, the set occasionally sounds like early Grace Slick and Jefferson Airplane. With guitarist Jon Oliver and bassist Chris Sheppard penning the majority of the set, tracks such as "Better Than You (Mental Song)" and the bizarre backward tape filled snippet "Are We As Us See and Come (Parade)" evoke the same kind of San Francisco-styled vibe. On the other hand tracks such as "Bustin' Loose" and their cover of Fontella Bass' "Rescue Me" were more mainstream the most of the Airplane's catalog. The main thing to remember, the album rewards greatly with repeated spins. One of the albums faves has got to be their enthusiastic cover of The Beatles "Gotta Get You Into My Life" -- complete with freak out ending! No doubt helped by the exceptionally unattractive album cover (you'd fail a child submitting such a drawing in art class), the album vanished into instant oblivion, followed in short order by the band itself.

There are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing ... promotional sticker at top right corner ... a VERY collection worthy rarity ...
The vinyl: Rated: M- ALL Clean and glossy with very enjoyable CLEAN audio ...play back should not reveal alarming distracting surface problems ... both labels are clean
