Description
This is my EX / MINT / UNPLAYED PROMO copy of this VERY RARE ORIGINAL UK PRESSING of THE DAMNED's "DAMNED" LP released in 1977 on STIFF RECORDS - SEEZ 1. This copy was a PROMO copy and bears the stamp of a BBC local radio station on the Side 1 label and on the front cover. The front cover stamp is over the name of the band and very light! The date on the stamp is 2nd March 1977 - the date it was taken into the library. The sleeve shows light signs of shelf wear on the edges of the non-laminated sleeve. There is a visible line (semi crease) on the left hand side, bottom half of the front cover, running parallel with the spine, but it looks fine and doesn't spoil the look of the sleeve. The rear, white card back of the sleeve is very clean and new looking with the correct ERRATUM sticker still in place over the picture of Eddie & The Hot Rods The spine is strong, un-damaged and readable! The disc isunplayed as new as far as I know. I have never played this copy and it came straight off the library shelf. The vinyl looks perfect and there are no spindle marks. The Stiff labels are un-damaged and the stamp is again light and it's green coloutr sit well on the b/w Stiff label. A RARE CHANCE TO OWN AN ORIGINAL 'ERRATUM' COPY OF THIS GREAT and IMPORTANT LP.
On 29-Sep-06 at 09:13:51 BST, seller added the following information: The picture of the rear of the sleeve (picture 1.), is actually my other copy which I am keeping in my recored collection - you can see it has writting across it. The one on offer is in the same shape, but is as described and has no writing - sorry, but the system won't let me replace the picture. If you can see it, it is actually a line from the good Captain saying "MY BUM IS ON FIRE" - and signed CAPTAIN SENSIBLE - but that one is NOT for sale - sorry!price rating
