On offer here is a VERY RARE original LIMITED EDITION issue of a 6-track compilation EP by THE PURPLE HEARTS featuring the group’s singles, “Of Hopes and Dreams and Tombstones”, “Early in the Morning”, “You Can’t Sit Down” and “Chicago”.  This EP was issued as part of the first batch of releases on GLENN A. BAKER’s newly formed RAVEN RECORDS label (in November 1979).

THE PURPLE HEARTS includes legendary Aussie rock guitarist LOBBY LOYDE (who was also a member of PSYCH GARAGE PUNK group, THE WILD CHERRIES).

back: EX matt finish with glossy appearance: insignificant ring-wear (inner rim – mainly centre), surface rubbing, minor overall spot staining.

Record:

EX visual: beautiful glossy sheen—some insignificant hairlines on an otherwise exceptional disc (seen under strong light).

audible: SUPERB RAUNCHY and VIBRANT SOUND despite some insignificant underlying surface noise.  Most of the sound deterioration is from the original source material & not from this actual release, as this EP has hardly been played!
