Description

Here is the complete 12-disc 78 rpm gramophone set called "Musik des Orients"

It was issued by Parlophone and Odeon, and comes in its original album, complete with booklet of information. This anthology was compiled by E.M. Von Hornbostel, and all the information given is in German.
It features stunning performances of musicians recorded in Japan, China, Java, Bali, Siam, India, Persia, Egypt, and Tunisia

All discs are VG/VG+. There is a small spot of white residue on discs 1, 3, and 12 - in each case it is at the very edge of the record and does not effect play. The labels are in pristine condition.
A note about storage: The auction includes the original album with the booklet. The pages of the album are too worn to still hold the discs and I am including it for comprehensiveness. I am including each disc in a separate, white sleeve with the exception of three of the discs, which are slightly larger than the standard 10" sides. Those three I will keep inside the album.
