From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this piece of classic Australian music history. Pat Carroll. If You’re Gonna Break Another Heart / Someday UNRELEASED?? ACETATE. Double-sided ACETATE. 1974. There’s no mention of this ever being released. 1960s singing partner to Olivia Newton-John, they remained close friends and Carroll’s husband, John Farrar, wrote some of ONJ’s biggest hits including Have You Never Been Mellow, Hopelessly Devoted To You, You’re The One That I Want, Magic and Suddenly. Acetate in Very Good Plus condition, some crackle on quieter passages but sounds great. SHIPPING: In these COVID times, there have been problems with international shipping from Australia beyond slow, or no, air mail. I’ve had a parcel to the UK damaged and another that was diverted from air mail to sea mail and took four months reach Europe. Until things improve, I’m shifting to Express Air Mail. More expensive but if you’re bidding for a record you want to enhance the probability of getting it in good order. I’d also prefer to fully insure the higher-valued purchases, which means the correct value of the record is noted on the customs form (some buyers, from countries that levy customs duty, have been reluctant to do this in the past). However, this is something we can negotiate post-auction. If buyers want to forgo claiming a refund on damaged goods (check my feedback and you’ll see I pack EXTREMELY well), then that’s up to them.
