Description

This is Paul's 1st album entitled just "McCartney" and released on 17th April 1970, two weeks before the Beatles final album Let It Be.

The record is a factory sample and is in wonderful condition with just an errant non feelable, non audible mark at the end of side two. This was almost certainly caused by a finger nail and has just "greyed" the black vinyl.

In natural sunlight the surfaces have a brilliant sheen to them and the labels have no writing

and barely any spindle marks surprisingly.

The record plays with just a hint of static crackle that a professional clean should improve.

The cover has a wonderful shine to it even the gatefold crackles when opened carefully. One pocket of the sleeve is closed as all 1st issues are. There is just some minor small creases under the laminate by the rear opening edge. The spine is fully readable.

The inner sleeve is the correct patented made in Great Britain version for this issue not the Apple version which came later. There is some creasing in the rear.

Matrix yex 775-2 A-2u ( export matrix like Abbey Road), yex 776-3u.

Stampers 1TH, 1GGP.
