Wingin’ it – Wings/Paul McCartney remix PROMO 12”
UK promo-only disc with the unique DIFFERENT GEAR remixes. Released to promote the Wingspan album in 2001. This was a very limited pressing, available to DJs only and it is VERY RARE. Release number WINDJ 001 (which is the matrix no.). The other release at that time was WINDJ002 (Silly love songs Loop da loop mix). You can see examples of these rare remix discs here. This promo is rarely available on Ebay, so take your chance now!
Ian Peel’s excellent book “The Unknown Paul McCartney” discusses the Wingin’it mixes as follows: “..But the most out-there of the Wingspan remixes were Different Gear’s very leftfield nine minute version of “Let ‘em in” (page 125). Indeed, the remixes do not leave much of the original song intact, in fact it is hardly recognizable. See also some information on this Macca promo 12" on the Esprit website here.
CONDITION:
VINYL: EX+, just some extremely light hairline marks. Very shiny vinyl! Superb copy.
SOUND: Great sound, no background noise. Taken well-care of.
