Description
On offer here is a copy of A Meal You Can Shake Hands With In The Dark by Pete Brown and His Battered Ornaments, which was released on the Harvest label in 1969, catalogue number SHVL 752.
This is an extremely rare album, as not only did this album sink without trace but this copy is a first pressing without “EMI” on the label, and the four lines of “ Sold In The UK “ blurb.
The pictures I believe speak for themselves, in terms of the condition, but to give more detail the laminated gatefold sleeve made by E J Day has no laminate lift, rips or tears, with just a couple of creases in the laminate near the spine and one thumb crease.
The inside of the gatefold is clean and white with a name neatly tippexed out in the top left corner.
The vinyl is clean with some light scuffs where it has beeen removed from its inner and a couple of non penetrating hairlines on Side Two.
The matrix numbers are SHVL 752 A 2 and B2.
The album comes with a Harvest Inner Bag which is clean and unsplit.
A Rare album, this is not a Mint copy but is overall Very Good Plus / Excellent. Difficult to find now at a realistic price!!
The record will be sent outside of its cover sandwiched between two 12" card stiffeners in a heavy duty record mailer made by Covers 33 as used by Mail Order record shops.
