Description
Here for auction today is a very rare UK Issue 7" PUNK release by Peter And The Test Tube Babies,released in 1981 on the No Future label with A-1/B-1 matrix stampers and the very rare blue labels. The labels look nice and clean and are without stains or writing and are without any damage anywhere and with hardly any inner ring wear look near mint and I can see hardly any spindle trace either,very nice looking and side one there is molten vinyl around the inner ring edge.
The vinyl on side one has a couple of sleeve type lines and one swirly and obviously only very lightly pressed line,I say 'obviously' because this record sounds like a Mint- copy and was taken aback by both the strength and clarity of sound,amazing copy this one and plays so well I am led to believe that the mark on this record is a storage related one as I am blown away by how well this record plays,there is also a slight warp to one edge but,does not affect the play at all and is only to one edge and you need to look close to see this,so not a worry and I grade visually as VG+ and the Audio a very strong Near Mint. The other side looks better as the vinyl has only sleeve or paper marks and on turning the record,the winning bidder will see that there is no compromise to the vinyl grooves and plays the exact same as side one,the only noise on this record is the usual static on the intro and the BANG! And I mean BANG!!! The music kicks in and sounds totally clear,no ticks,pops or other de traction from the brilliant sound of this record so to sum up close inspection will reveal only very light surface marks or ghost lines and has the fractional warp but,this is a great survivor it plays so loud and clear,can make out every sound of the music and lyrics,a brilliant playing copy this one.
The laminated,glossy picture sleeve I grade as EX+ as there is no damage at all and with nice crisp lines along the entrance points this would have been a N.M grade but,for the single small crease to the top right corner which just passes through the word "TUBE" other than this there is some very slight stain spots that are hardly visible and all in all this is a very nice example of a sought after vinyl with blue labels,please note here that all sales are through PayPal so please bid with complete confidence and I have a no quibble returns policy so thank you for taking a look and good luck with your bids for this superb playing,rare UK Punk 7" E.P.
