Description

A stereo 1st Press of Peter & Sophia on the UK Black & Gold Parlophone label. Matrix 1/2. Tax Code "WT" = 1960. Stampers 1-O/1-R. Not only is this a 1st pressing from 1960, but it's a very early STEREO copy from the first 2,000. Due to the prevalence of Mono at the time these Stereo copies are very very scarce indeed. The LP comes housed in an original STEREO cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse.
Vinyl (Vg+) In superb shape particularly given its age. Under close inspection there are a number of light marks, but nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERY GOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with good clarity and only light occasional interference. "Zoo Bee Zoo Bee Zoo!"
Cover (Vg) In nice condition and has survived those years in great condition. The most obvious deterioration is the ageing on the rear & then a tiny rip toward the bottom of the opening on the rear. But other than that there is very little to complain about. Some light edge wear, but the spine is intact and overall the cover retains great rigidity.
