Phil Spitalny, Hour of Charm All-Girl Orchestra, Hymns, Charm Records, Album 3
Vintage late 1940s Shellac 3 record set entitled "Hymns" performed by The Hour Of Charm All-Girl Orchestra and Choir under the direction of American conductor and band leader Phil Spitalny. Set consists of 3 x 78" rpm Shellac records in a hardcover record book. Pressed and distributed on the Charm Records label.
Hardcover book grading is VG+. It shows some minor shelf wear and bumping along the sides, with tanning on the interior covers. Set is in overall very good condition with no major tears, marks, soiling or other damage. Front cover is clean and glossy. Book is overall clean and intact.
Records are graded as VG+. All 3 show moderate surface wear on all sides. They have been cleaned, tested and play through well with minor background noise. Record 1, side 2 has one minor pop, while records 2 and 3 on side 1 have two minor pops each scattered throughout play. Records have an overall very good quality sound that is clear and pleasant despite flaws.
