Original UK pressing of Glass' first major label recording, with fantastic early minimalism featuring Glass on electric organ plus Jon Gibson, Michael Reisman, and Joan La Barbara, among others. Notable also for its cover designed by minimalist/conceptual artist and sculptor Sol Lewitt, for which this lp is listed in the legendary Broken Music catalog of artists records.

Philip Glass studied with Vincent Persichetti, Darius Milhaud, William Bergsma, Nadia Boulanger and Ravi Shankar, worked with Laurie Anderson, Richard Serra, Sol LeWitt, Alan Saret, and James Tenney, and is associated with the late 20th century 'minimalism' movement along with John Adams, Steve Reich, La Monte Young, Terry Riley, Charlemagne Palestine, Phil Niblock, and Tony Conrad. • La Barbara is an experimental vocalist who studied under Helen Boatwright and is married to Morton Subotnick; she has worked with David Tudor, Phill Niblock, Robert Ashley, John Cage, Steve Reich, Jim Hall, Don Sebesky, Alvin Lucier, David Behrman, Merce Cunningham, Morton Feldman, Philip Glass, Kenneth Goldsmith, Judy Chicago, Lita Albuquerque, and James Tenney, and provided vocal sound effects for the Alien films. • Lewitt was associated with Tom Marioni, Andy Warhol, Kathan Brown, Hanne Darboven, Jasper Johns, Brice Marden, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Dan Flavin, Robert Ryman, Robert Mangold, Scott Burton, Eva Hesse, Robert Morris, Robert Smithson, Jackie Winsor, Bruce Nauman, Keith Sonnier, Richard Serra, Alan Saret, and Yoko Ono. Packing - I pack professionally and with the utmost care drawn from years of experience trading vinyl internationally. I use new record mailers from Cameron Packaging (which I have determined are the best and most protective) reinforced with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap padding. All records are shipped with poly plastic sleeves and with the vinyl outside of the cover to prevent damage. All packages are completely sealed with strong packing tape covering all openings.
