Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo


This is the limited edition release from Music On Vinyl of this now highly sought after Quo album released in 1968.  It is number 1258 of 2000 copies on "flaming yellow" vinyl.  Originals are going for £hundreds now and reissues are rare especially mono ones and this set represents the only mono reissue thus far...  could end up worth considerably more bob as so many MOV titles deserve to and also often end up doing.


Music on Vinyl consistently puts out top notch pressings and this is no different.  However id ordered a first copy from amazon and it contained two mono discs!  I have (for the love of mono) decided to keep that one and sell this one as my regular black one is stereo anyway.  It does mean as these are resealable that ive opened this to check the discs are true and indeed this is a true mono/stereo copy.


Another advantage to having been opened is that this copy now presents as what i like to call "better than new".  Ive not so long ago acquired a Degritter ultrasonic cleaning machine and after 400+ record washes in 3 months i can safely say a double heavy wash - which this has now had - is profoundly transformative in terms of improving the cleanliness and clarity of whatever sound quality may be contained within the grooves - even the already very good quality pressings from MOV.   The Degritting of almost every used record and many new records i sell is done as a courtesy and no additional cost.
