Description

An original 1975 pressing of DSOTM on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A5/B5. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with that early sticker in the top-right corner. Also included is the original EMI inner sleeve and both posters and both stickers. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In marvellous condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. What you're looking for with DSOTM is a relatively early copy which is close enough to extract some of that original magic from the masters and one that has been well cared for and preserved to a high level. This copy does exactly that boasting excellent preservation levels and the transparency of those early pressings. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. The audio quality is nothing short of stunning. Interference, thankfully, is both very minor and infrequent. We couldn't detect more than a few light crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A truly storming rendition.
Cover (Ex) So, so, difficult to find looking anything close to new. This example acquits itself admirably and manages to almost entirely preserve those lush black surfaces without suffering the usual surface wear you tend to find. Back and front are almost pristine looking with that dark-blueish hue that looks stunning. The interior is in great condition too - just light handling wear nothing unsightly. Edge wear is very light and spine is perfectly preserved - which is unusual. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat. A fantastic specimen.
Inner (Ex) Very little ageing. No splits.
Posters (Ex/Ex-) Both have not been attached to a wall and are clean and flat. The pyramid has a one inch tear on a seam at the edge.
Stickers (Ex) Complete unaged and unpeeled. Nice!
