Description

An original 2nd issue of DSOTM on UK Harvest. "Gramophone" text in the perimeter. Matrix A3/B3. For those audiophiles out there - it is widely regarded that an analogue A3/B3 cut is about as good as you'll ever go with DSOTM. The only issue is managing to do that without breaking the bank. Which is why I'm offering one up right here, right now [to coin a phrase!]. These analogue cuts basically have ALL the early magic of the highly sought after 1st solid blues. It's a no-brainer! On this copy you'll have to compromise on the cover - BUT the audio is more than worth the trade-off. The vinyl comes housed in a midnight blue cover with sealed left front. The only other accessory is a blue text generic white inner. There's NO posters or stickers. It's ALL about the audio.<<<<
Vinyl (Ex) In marvellous condition and has only seen light careful use. Why can't they all look and sound like this! Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one minor deviation. As smooth as they come! The early cuts are famed for their lush presentation, their warmth, and low level detail. And this example is no exception to the rule and has it ALL in spades. Why compromise on one of the all time greats? Beautiful clean audio throughout even into the super fussy passages. Lovin it! All I can pick out is some occasional 'presence' just audible during the fussiest moments of  'Us & Them' [hard to avoid entirely]. But that's the worst of it - and even this is still an above above average performance. It truly is a lovely clean player leaving you free to concentrate on the quality audio - rather than annoying interference.
Cover (Vg-) Ok, so it's here that you'll have to make the compromise. All original - but it has seen a fair bit of wear. Acceptable and no better. Front looks ok with a bit of wear here and there. The rear fairs slightly worse with a good deal of ring wear. The interior looks fine with no major issue. Expect a fair bit of edge wear, but it doesn't appear to have worn through anywhere. A good bit of wear on the spine - about average.
Inner (Vg+) Slight ageing. A one inch bottom edge split has been taped up.
