Description

Here for auction is a lovely copy of "Dark Side Of The Moon". It's an original first pressing with "solid blue triangle" label's.UK manufactured EMI Harvest SHVL 804.Matrices Side 1. A 2  side 2.  B 2 

Comes with it's original poster's and sticker's and original black poly lined inner sleeve.Cover is of thick card with blue/black colour print.Much thicker card than later presses.Has title sticker on front and has two side opening flaps (which is one of the variants you get with first issues of this record) according to the amazingly detailed "Pink Floyd Archives" website.

I tested this record on good Hi-fi (Goldring-Lenco GL 78 deck with Ortofon Cartridge, Roksan Kandy amp & B&W floorstander's)....Records have been cleaned on a Loricraft PRC 3 using Mobile Fidelity products prior to playing/listing on E-bay.

Vinyl is in beautiful EX+ condition.Disc is free of marks (even when viewed in bright daylight) and is really clean.It sits flat on the turntable and is neither kinked or warped.... the sound quality is simply amazing!!! This early pressing has a beautiful clear,full sound but it also has a real warmth to it as well.This copy is up there with the best and will grace any turntable/hi-fi.

I made sure I tested "Us and Them & The Great Gig In the Sky" as these tracks have loud peaks which show any wear/distortion.No problem at all - both tracks sounded great....I also checked "Money" as some solid blue's were pressed with a fault on Money which caused a jump.Again no problem.I also played most of the rest of the record....Verdict = superb sounding faultless disc....Just one thing there is a little crackle at the start of side 1 (Speak To Me) where the heartbeat comes in.But it's only there for a few revs and once "Breathe" comes in it's perfect until the end of side two.

Cover is in easily EX condition.It's only minor fault is a little loss of it's blackness on it's outer edges (minor shelf/storage wear).All else is very,very nice.The spine and corner's are crisp and neat.a fine cover.Has a sticker applied by the record shop who originally sold the record.I have not tried to remove this.

Has original black inner sleeve in EX condition.

Label's. EX+ Hardly any light spindle marks over the two sides,even when viewed closely.Fine label's.
