Second Issue.
These copies were produced for a short time only, between first pressing and first repress, featuring earliest use of the new black Harvest "blue outline prism" label design. These early transitional pressings, still have on labels the rim text starting as "The Gramophone Co. Ltd", and have been found with vinyl matrix A2/B2 or A3/B2 or A3/B3.
Gatefold cover of these copies come with two shade of color: very dark blue or black. Many copies have been released with a sticker on front, although some do not have it.
Original set includes two A2-sized posters and 2 stickers. Stickers have two different types of text on the back: - "FasPrint Permanent" & "Crack Back Patented". - "Permanent".
This Copy:
The gatefold sleeve has a nice blue/black tinge, the purpley coloured hype sticker intact on the front, great spine. There is a bit of rubbing / ringwear front and back, inside the gatefold is very good - please view all the photos.
The 2 posters and 2 stickers are present, although they have been combined (see photos) - the stickers having been stuck on the posters and hung at some point - still ,rare to have them at all ....
Labels and vinyl show a little wear and rubbing through past use. The labels tick the boxes as per the above ref for release.   -  "The Gramophone Co. Ltd" on upper rim text  - World Copyrights below prism  - Made in Gt. Britain above lower rim text (and not repeated at end of that text as a 3rd press would have)
It plays through really well. I heard some light crackle in some quiet spots, a few ticks on Us and Them, the powerful bits sounded fantastic! All in all a really good set and a great pleasant to listen to copy...
