1st UK pressing with solid BLUE prism on label format
1st issue gatefold sleeve with bluish tint , only found on the earliest first pressings. Extra loud cut engineering with the wider grooves and the thick cut , heavyweight vinyl , only found on the very first UK pressings .
Vinyl
An excellent sheen . Visible light surface marks/ light scratches /scuffs on surfaces but nothing detrimental to cause skips , sticks nor jumps. Good+ visual of this ultra rare Floyd classic .

Labels
1st issue solid BLUE prism label format in excellent- condition. No graffiti nor any damage visible. Prime examples of this ultra rare Floyd first pressing.
Audio
Phenomenal LOUD cut engineering and throws a shadow over later reissues .Side 1-No sticks, nor jumps, nor repeats, from either side during play back. There is surface noise for most of play, during the quieter parts of the music, between tracks/opening grooves, but all channels operate extremely well, on all frequencies, with no tonal distortion detected. A few light scratches audible. Good/+ delivery.
Side2-There is still dust, lifting from the grooves, where the vinyl has been lying dormant for many years , so should improve with play. Tones are delivered sharply, with a concise definition. Mostly good+/very good- aural delivery ,with a few light audible scratches/surface during play, but any disturbance remains at a distance .
Gatefold sleeve General wear on edges/spinal column/corners. Closed on one opening edge . Ring wear visible on both outer faces. No rips, nor tears . Dark biro on top right corner, not too intrusive , and in fact a solid feel, with very good centrefold ,with blue text to the left of inner face. Very good/- condition.
Black inner sleeve . Poly lining . Thinning on one part of lower edge . No major seam splits. Very good/+ condition
Stickers
1st issue crack back stickers/postcard –UNPEELED, never been used ! One corner bend on one set.Excellent/- condition
Posters excellent
If you are unable to afford a mint example, then this one is for you. Thoroughly enjoyed on a high volume, through Hordaunt-Short speaker system and after listening to this first pressing, you won’t be looking for a later reissue ever again. Tones from this release thundered through my Cambridge/Project hi fi system, with a deep resonance and an incredible vibrancy.
