Description

An original 1st issue of Meddle on the UK Harvest label. Matrix 4/3. Please note the perimeter text on the labels still mentions "Gramophone" on the labels - this is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in a gatefold cover which is textured on the outside. Also included is the original Harvest advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could make out nothing more than a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. As good a rendition as I've ever witnessed. And boy do you need that with Floyd - so much of the audio is low-key. Just beautifully clean and perfectly rendered audio from start to finish. Interference is pretty much totally absent. Do expect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. The one deviation is incredibly minor and brief...just a 1-second burst of distortion midway through side 1. Blink and you'll miss it, but I'm just giving you the heads up so you have full confidence in the grading.
Cover (Ex-) In very nice condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. A very nice and clean back and front with none of that heavy creasing you can find. At the foot of the cover there is what looks like a manufacturing fault. The bottom inch of the cover is slightly shinier than the rest of the cover. I'm pretty sure this would have occurred during manufacture stage - and it's very minor [I'm just being fully upfront!]. The interior looks good with no obvious signs of ageing. Edge wear is light and the openings still sharp. The spine looks pretty good with minimal wear. All text is legible on the spine and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Aged at the extremities. No splits or markings.
