Vinyl appears to be passable VG
Record is clean, appears well played but there is plenty of lustre left in the vinyl, some hair-line surface marks, and a few scuffs here and there, but none of them are deep enough to "feel with a finger nail." Dynamic range strains on loudest passages but there is no warpage, skipping, or significant groove damage.
Cover is in at least VG+ condition, lamination fully intact, spine is perfect, no significant wear whatsoever, a very good example. Inner sleeve has been "customised" to include what looks like a cut out of an advertisement for the album when it was released, the back side of the page is actually readable, seems to have been published in a music magazine of the day. Fresh poly-lined inner is also supplied.
Matrix numbers: "XAX 3419 - 2" + "XAX 3420 - 1" Stampers: A side = "1" (left of label) & "GD" (right of label) and B side = "1" (left of label) & "G" (right of label).

Decoding the UK EMI matrix:
At 6 o clock is the matrix number with a dash number. In this case it is XAX 3419-1 indicates the 1st lacquer made. 2 would be the second, etc.At 9 o clock is the mother number. In this case it is Mother # 1
At 3 o clock is the stamper code. The code works like this:

The letter above is code for the corresponding number below. The stamper codes above are "GD" and "G". This corresponds to the numbers G = 1, D = 0. Therefore the stampers are #10 on the A Side and #1 on the B Side. So the A Side was manufactured using the second lacquer and the 10th Stamper, the B Side using the 1st lacquer and 1st stamper!
