Description
Pink Floyd- Piper at the Gates of Dawn stereo LP 1st press Tower Records 1967. Landmark psychedelic lp with Syd Barret leading the way. Heard the See Emily Play 45 on my station as a kid many times even though it didn't even bubble under on Billboard. Went too 10 in the UK. However, See Emily play was the track getting airplay here in the states, so for the LP, a couple tracks were different from the UK version and See Emily Play was tacked on the US version since that was the track getting action. Song by song play grade: See Emily Play- VG / Pow R. Toch- G (quiet song with pops and repeating clicks throughout) / Take Up My Stethoscope & Walk- EX / Lucifer Sam- VG+ (would be EX but for about a dozen clicks in the middle, otherwise great) / Matilda Mother- VG+ / Scarecrow- VG+ / Gnome- VG / Chapter 24- VG / Interstellar Overdrive- VG (2nd half plays a lot better than 1st).
