Pink Floyd Piper at the Gates of Dawn UK 1st Press 1967 Columbia/EMI, Stereo
Vinyl is Good or Good +, shows scattered light surface scuffs and a few lite surface scratches. Labels VG with no major issues, spindle wear is nominal. Plays superb, an easy VG. The sonics on these first pressings are the best. Very sure footed, solid, crisp vibrant presentation. This plays pretty clean actually, with occasional ticks, stray pops here or there, occasional light underlying crackle, but also quiet in many quiet places. Laminated front flip back cover is bright clean VG+ with no issues, a real nice one. UK Patents Pending white paper die cut inner sleeve of the 1966-67 era is clean & excellent although someone invisible taped one side seam because it was open. I suspect this LP was not played heavy or a lot but was probably left out of its cover in its former life, and it accumulated the surface marks & scuffs.
